1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of chooseblock.com and all associated content, features and virtual experiments operated by ChooseBlock Lab ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

You confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally permitted to access social casino-style entertainment content in your jurisdiction within Canada. ChooseBlock Lab is not an online casino and does not offer real-money gambling services of any kind.

2. Access Rights & Eligibility

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access chooseblock.com for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only. This licence does not permit you to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from platform content without written consent;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from our virtual experiments;
  • Use automated tools, bots or scripts to interact with the platform;
  • Misrepresent your age or identity;
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Canadian laws;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access at our sole discretion if we believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Virtual Nature of Content

This is the most important section of these Terms. All games, ranked experiments and features on ChooseBlock Lab operate exclusively with virtual "lab credits." Lab credits are in-game points with absolutely no monetary value. They cannot be purchased with real money, sold, traded, transferred, redeemed, cashed out or exchanged for cash, cryptocurrency, goods, services, vouchers, prizes or any other reward of any kind.

No real-money deposits, wagers, withdrawals or payouts exist on this platform. Winning or losing lab credits has no financial consequence whatsoever. Outcomes in our virtual experiments are generated for entertainment purposes only and do not reflect, predict or influence real-world gambling outcomes.

ChooseBlock Lab is a social gaming laboratory — not a licensed gambling operator. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer or invitation to participate in real-money gambling.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in Canada, ChooseBlock Lab and its directors, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual lab credits, device malfunction or emotional distress.

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed one Canadian dollar (CAD $1.00).

5. Intellectual Property

All content on chooseblock.com — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, game mechanics, animations, audio, software code and the "ChooseBlock Lab" name — is owned by or licensed to ChooseBlock Lab and protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws. Unauthorised use of any content may violate these laws and result in civil or criminal penalties.

You may share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not frame, scrape or reproduce substantial portions of our content without prior written permission.

6. User Conduct

If you submit content through our contact form or newsletter, you represent that your submission is accurate and does not violate any third-party rights. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use submitted content solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry or providing requested services.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of chooseblock.com after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Each experiment on ChooseBlock Lab — including Plinko Lab, Lab Slots and Lab Spin Wheel — operates exclusively with virtual lab credits. Outcomes are generated by local random number functions in your browser. Results are independent, unpredictable and designed for entertainment. Past outcomes do not influence future results. Session history displayed in-game is stored locally and serves as a personal record only — it has no bearing on future game mechanics or payouts, because no real payouts exist.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to chooseblock.com at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, harms other users or threatens platform integrity. Upon termination, your licence to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law — shall remain in effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Responsible Play guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChooseBlock Lab regarding use of the platform. They supersede all prior communications and understandings. No waiver of any Term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such Term or any other Term.
